The accused was denied
bond in court Wednesday on two charges of first-degree
murder, as well as other felony charges.
The 22-year-old is being charged with the murder of a state corrections officer and her 2-year-old son after he allegedly fired several rounds from a high-powered assault rifle into the corrections officer's home. Likely a case of "wrong place, wrong time," it is alleged that the accused shooter did not intend to shoot the victims but somebody else.
It is unclear as to whether the State Attorney's Office will be seeking the death penalty.
