FDLE Reports on Credit Card Scam Investigation
The three-month investigation revealed that the accused person had encoded blank credit cards with his real name and stolen credit card numbers. The man allegedly then used these fraudulent credit cards to make purchases at stores.
A
search of his residence revealed counterfeit credit cards, blank credit cards, and credit card making equipment.
The accused was charged with three counts of identity theft, three counts of possession of forged counterfeit credit cards, two counts of fraudulent use of credit cards and two counts of grand theft. His
bond was set at $22,000.
