Miami-Dade Police Carry Out Holiday Sting Operation
The Miami-Dade Police Department has been carrying out what they termed as “Operation Scrooge Busters.” This is a holiday time crackdown on drug activity and other street-level crime.
So far, the sting has netted 41 arrests, including 27 felonies, 13
misdemeanors, and 1
traffic arrest.
This enforcement has yielded 60 grams of crack cocaine, 59 grams of powder
cocaine, 27 grams of
marijuana, and other drugs and cash.
Around the holidays, police will be stepping up enforcement in general. You can also count on heightened DUI enforcement, with such measures as
DUI checkpoints in place throughout Miami-Dade and Broward.
