Aggressive Trial Attorney With a Reputation for Success

Local 10 reports that a man has been caught on a Dania Beach home's surveillance video system while committing a burglary.

Police said that man, shown in the video, knocked on the front door of a house. The man went to the back of the home and used a tool to shatter a glass door.

It has not been reported whether the police have identified the man in the video.

The police alleged that the man stole approximately $10,000 worth of jewelry from the home.

More and more homes in Miami-Dade County are equipped with video surveillance systems. While video surveillance can be useful in helping law enforcement officers catch suspected burglars, the resolution is often grainy and the picture is not clear enough to make out a positive identification. The way police typically use video surveillance evidence is in conjunction with other evidence, such as fingerprints, DNA, or whether any recently stolen property has been sold at a pawnshop.

If arrested and charged, this man will face one count of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, a second-degree felony, and one count of grand theft, a third-degree felony.
