Police Search For Suspect In West Park Murder

A suspect has been named after a man was fatally shot at a West Park warehouse, where he had met with a prospective buyer for his Mercedes.

The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a 35-year old Hialeahd man in connection with the December 22 death of the alleged victim, who was supposedly trying to sell the accused a Mercedes-Benz.

Police said the alleged victim went to a warehouse at 2107 SW 57th Terrace in West Park, Broward County, that day in the hope of selling his car. But investigators said the prospective buyer was a career criminal.

BSO said detectives have obtained a warrant for the accused's arrest on a first-degree murder charge.

BSO said investigators believe that the accused left a stolen white Toyota Tundra at the scene of the shooting. The license plate on the vehicle was registered to a northern Florida man whose identity had been stolen, and the car itself was registered to another man in Winter Garden, police said.

The accused's Mercedes was found December 23 in Miami Gardens.
