Homestead Police Officers Charged With Beating Suspects

Three Homestead police officers, including two sergeants, have been arrested. The charges include official misconduct, false imprisonment, and battery.

Two of the three officers are charged with beating men outside of a Homestead bar. One of the three - a female sergeant - is charged only with failing to report the incident upon allegedly having knowledge that it had occurred.

It is alleged that the beating incident was captured on surveillance video.

The officers have bonded out of jail and are awaiting their arraignments.
