Aggressive Trial Attorney With a Reputation for Success

A security guard in Fort Lauderdale was arrested and charged with sale of cannabis.

Police reports indicate that the accused encountered an undercover Fort Lauderdale Police officer. A conversation ensued and the accused allegedly sold a $20 bag of marijuana. The accused worked as a security guard at Fort Lauderdale’s Beach Place.

It is a third-degree felony punishable by up to 5 years in Florida prison to sell cannabis (marijuana).

Since this is a Broward case, the typical plea offer is a withhold with 18 months probation if the accused has no priors.

Beach Place was recently in the news as being deemed a nuisance in the City of Fort Lauderdale due to the high number of fights and drug arrests.

Sale of cannabis can be charged no matter how little the amount of marijuana sold. Any sale of cannabis for any amount of money is a third-degree felony.

Simple possession of marijuana under 20 grams is a misdemeanor.
