When You Unsuccessfully Complete Felony Pretrial Intervention (PTI)

Aggressive Trial Attorney With a Reputation for Success

In Broward County, you normally only get one shot at Pretrial Intervention (PTI).  If you fail to complete the program requirements, your case will be set for trial.

In Miami-Dade County, the same thing occurs - an unsuccessful completion, or "bounce out," results in your case being put back on the Court's calendar to be set for trial.

However, Miami-Dade is a far more reasonable jurisdiction when it comes to PTI re-enrollment.

If you failed to complete a condition of PTI, it may be possible to be re-enrolled rather than having your case set for trial.

Remember, if you fail to complete PTI in Miami-Dade County, your case will be set on calendar and YOU MUST appear at that hearing.  Failure to appear will result in the issuance of an alias capias (bench warrant).

If you have participated in the PTI program and you did not complete the conditions successfully, call me to discuss re-enrollment.
