South Florida is where a significant number of cruise vacations begin. Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) and the Port of Miami (Miami) are hubs for major cruise lines, such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and more.
But if you have an outstanding warrant, you can find yourself detained and taken to the local jail to be extradited back to the Florida county, or even the state, from which the warrant originates.
If you have a warrant in another Florida county or if you have a warrant in another state, you can find yourself held without a bond in a Fort Lauderdale or Miami-Dade County jail.
Make sure to check for warrants before you travel. And if you know that you have an outstanding warrant, do not travel until the warrant is resolved.
