Former Broward Teachers' Union President Arrested

Aggressive Trial Attorney With a Reputation for Success
|

The former president of the Broward Teacher's Union has surrendered at the Broward County Jail. He is charged with 20 felony counts, including multiple counts of racketeering, grand theft, campaign contribution violations, money laundering, organized scheme to defraud, and conspiracy to commit racketeering.

It is alleged that the accused former BTU leader stole $165,000 from the union.

When a public official is charged with serious felonies, specialized prosecution units handle these matters. With the heavy publicity, these cases usually go to trial and are not resolved by plea.
