April 2015 FDLE Sealing And Expunging Update

Aggressive Trial Attorney With a Reputation for Success
|

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is currently processing applications to seal or expunge Florida criminal records that were submitted in February 2015.

If you were to begin the process of sealing or expunging your Florida arrest record now, it would likely take 4-6 months to complete.

Expunging a record requires the assistance of the state attorney's office in the county in which the case was disposed.

Sealing a record does not require the assistance of the state attorney's office, which usually results in a quicker processing time than expunging a record.

You can learn more about the differences between sealing and expunging a criminal record.
