A Miami man accused of DUI manslaughter for allegedly killing five people while driving impaired is now a fugitive, according to reports.

The Miami Herald reports that prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for the accused driver. His whereabouts are unknown. The accused man faces five counts of DUI manslaughter. He faces 75 years in prison if convicted.

Authorities say that the accused driver plowed his mother’s car into a crowd of people on the left shoulder of I-95 at NW 103rd Street before 5:00 a.m. on March 5th, 2011.

The motorists had just been involved in a series of minor accidents involving 7 cars. The crowd was on the shoulder of the road waiting for police when the accused allegedly veered from the express lane, and smashed into the concrete barrier and the motorists, police said.

Five of the motorists were killed.

According to the warrant, the accused's blood alcohol content level was .127. The legal limit in Florida is .08.
