Aggressive Trial Attorney With a Reputation for Success
|

A 21-year veteran of the Coral Gables Police Department has been charged with stalking and strong-arm robbery.

Bond was set at $7500 Saturday for the accused.

Coral Gables police did not say why the veteran officer had been charged, only that it was related to something that happened while he was off duty.

Police officers are no different than ordinary citizens and can be the subject of criminal investigations, whether those investigations are related to their law enforcement duties or not. Everybody, including police officers, are entitled to the presumption of innocence.

Stalking is a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in county jail. Strong-arm robbery is a second-degree felony, punishable by a maximum of fifteen years in state prison.
