The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office is searching for a female strong-arm robbery suspect.

The police allege that the robbery occurred in the parking lot of a Palm Beach County pawn shop.

The details of the incident allege that money was snatched from the alleged victim's hands. This can either be a strong-arm robbery or a robbery by sudden snatch.

A strong-arm robbery requires the use of force (unarmed) to obtain the property of another. Robbery by sudden snatch does not require the use of much force, just enough to grab property from another person with limited physical contact.

Strong-arm robbery is a second-degree felony punishable by 15 years in Florida prison. Robbery by sudden snatch is a third-degree felony punishable by 5 years in Florida prison.

Eric Matheny is a criminal defense attorney serving Miami-Dade and Broward. Attorney Eric Matheny handles all types of robbery offenses.
