FDLE Delays Greatly Reduced

Aggressive Trial Attorney With a Reputation for Success
|

FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) has made tremendous improvements in their processing time of sealing and expungement applications.

In recent months, processing times have gone from 4-5 months down to about 60 days. According to FDLE’s website, applications submitted in June 2014 are now being processed.

Sealing or expunging your criminal record in Florida requires the assistance of FDLE. It is FDLE’s job to run a thorough criminal history check on an applicant to ensure that the applicant is eligible to seal or expunge their record.

Right now with the reduction in FDLE’s processing time, an expungement or sealing takes about 4-6 months, as opposed to the 6-8 months it’s been taking lately.

Eric Matheny is a Florida sealing and expungement lawyer who can seal or expunge criminal records statewide.
