Juvenile Expungements

Florida law provides that an arrest that occurred while somebody was a juvenile (less than 18 years of age) may be eligible to apply for a Juvenile Diversion Expunction.

Juvenile diversion programs in the Miami-Dade and Broward areas include the Civil Citation Program, JASS (Juvenile Alternative Sentencing Solutions), SCOP (Successful Completion of Probation), and Teen Court (Broward only).

If a juvenile has successfully completed a diversion program, that individual may apply to have that incident expunged.

NOTE: A juvenile diversion expunction does not count as a sealing or expungement against your adult record.  If you are otherwise eligible, a juvenile sealing or expungement will not, by itself, prevent you from sealing or expunging an adult record.

An application for a juvenile diversion expunction must be filed within 6 months of completion of the diversion program.

However, if you are an adult who has an arrest you would like to clear, don't let an old juvenile expungement or sealing discourage you.  Florida permits you to clear an arrest from your adult record even if you have secured a sealing or expungement of a juvenile record.

I am an attorney who handles sealing and expungement matters all throughout Miami-Dade and Broward.

I charge a flat fee of $625 for all sealing and expungements.  This fee includes:

1) Certified disposition charge
2) $75 FDLE filing fee
3) $42 Clerk of Courts filing fee
4) All preparation that goes into filing the application with FDLE
5) All preparation that goes into filing the Petition with the Court
6) Court appearance at hearing on Petition to Expunge/Seal Record

If you check out some of the other expungement attorneys, you will see that my fee is reasonable.  Many of the other guys may advertise a $300 or $400 fee, but if you read the fine print, you will see that additional charges apply, such as travel expenses and costs of the process (with my fee, your costs are included).  Some other attorneys even charge up to $250 just to go to court.  So if you look at a $400 expungement, the true cost is actually $750 - $800.

If you are interested in cleaning your arrest record, call me.  I represent clients all over the world and can being the expungement/sealing process within minutes.

I accept credit and debit cards.
