Cities such as Miami Beach, Davie, and Fort Lauderdale all have City Prosecutors that will prosecute municipal ordinance violations. Municipal ordinance violations, such as trespass, criminal mischief, battery, and petit theft, are all misdemeanor offenses. This means that they are criminal charges. They are nothing to take lightly.
