A car dealership in south Miami-Dade County may be at the center of an arson investigation. Flames were reported at the dealership and upon arrival, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews found three cars on fire.
Arson is a first-degree felony in the State of Florida, punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
So far there are no suspects or any known leads. The scene will be processed for physical evidence, which may yield information as to the identity of a suspect or suspects.
State law requires proof that a person "willfully and unlawfull" caused a fire to any structure or dwelling. A car lot would constitute a structure.
