BSO Arrests Four Men Suspected Of Burglary Of An Unoccupied Conveyance

An 18 year-old and three juveniles were arrested by the Broward Sheriff’s Office and charged with multiple counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, grand theft, and grand theft of a firearm.

BSO was investigating a series of car burglaries that occurred in the City of Weston on April 7. Detectives believed that as many as 10 cars were targeted. The cars were all unlocked, according to reports. One of items taken from one of the cars was a handgun.

Police believe that this crew may be responsible for up to 60 car burglaries in Weston, Davie, and Sunrise.

Burglary of an unoccupied conveyance is a third-degree felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison. Grand theft and grand theft of a firearm are also third-degree felonies.
