Warrants Follow You Forever

Aggressive Trial Attorney With a Reputation for Success
|

Did you know that if a warrant is issued in the State of Florida - be it for a pending arrest or a failure to appear in Court, that warrant will last forever.

There is no statute of limitations problem because the issuance of the warrant STOPS the clock.

If you are accused of committing a crime in 1985 and a warrant is issued, you can still be arrested on that warrant in 2023.

Same thing with capias warrants and bench warrants for failure to appear in Court.

Once the Judge issues that bench warrant or capias, the warrant will remain in effect indefinitely.

That warrant will follow you from state to state; and sometimes even country to country.

DO NOT take chances.  Even if it's a misdemeanor bench warrant, take the necessary steps to clear it up today.

DO NOT make your problem worse.  Being proactive is the best way to resolve this issue.

Eric Matheny is a criminal defense attorney serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.  You may contact Attorney Eric Matheny directly at 305-542-9491 to discuss your warrant.
