Hollywood Police say they've arrested a suspect in the home invasion robbery and attack on a 91-year-old man last month.
The 54-year old suspect was arrested Wednesday night and charged with battery, burglary and home invasion in the Jan. 20 incident, Hollywood Police said.
Police say a 91-year-old man and his wife were outside doing yard work when the suspect allegedly pulled up to their home in the 1000 block of N. 13th Court and entered through a side door.
When the suspect reportedly encountered the elderly man inside the home, he began punching him before fleeing the scene with the alleged victim's wallet, police said.
Surveillance video from the neighborhood showed the suspect driving through the neighborhood before parking and walking into the residence, police said.
The suspect was arrested after police received a CrimeStoppers tip and linked him to the crime scene through physical evidence, authorities said.
The suspect is in the Broward jail without a bond due to the nature of the charges.
