Hialeah Police have reportedly shot and wounded a burglary suspect.
According to reports, police were called out to the scene of a business burglary. A business burglary is known as a structural burglary, which is different from a residential burglary. However, reports indicate that when the police arrived on the scene, the suspect fled in a car.
There is no evidence at this time that the suspect used the car as a weapon against the police officers. For whatever reason, though, the police fired shots at the car. The suspect survived and was transported to the hospital.
As with all police-involved shootings, there will be an investigation. The suspect, who is unidentified at this time, will face burglary charges, along with other felony charges.
