George Floyd Protests in Miami-Dade County

Aggressive Trial Attorney With a Reputation for Success
|

Protesting peacefully is legal.

But being accused of destroying property or participating in a riot is illegal.

Protest peacefully, protest wisely and in furtherance of your purpose, and do not do anything to jeopardize your safety, reputation, and freedom.

Be mindful of curfews, as violating a curfew can result in your arrest. And if you are at an event where things get out of hand, it is wise to leave so not to be associated with those who are causing destruction and harm. Guilt by association can result in an arrest, even if the charges are unfounded.

The death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis Police Officer has rocked the nation, and tensions are high. We can speak our minds and exercise our Constitutional right to peaceably assemble, but we cannot devolve into chaos.

If you are arrested for defending yourself against violent agitators whose actions pervert the memory of George Floyd and sanctity of the moment, you could also be arrested.

If you are charged with a crime related to protesting in Palm Beach County, Broward County or Miami-Dade County, contact my office.
